The Das Museum Haus Konstruktiv in Zurich was the first home of Alambre by Alfredo Häberli—the wire chair was a custom piece for the museum’s dining room. It’s been 50 years since the release of the Panton chair by Verner Panton for Vitra in 1967, and new finishes dress up the cantilevered classic to mark the occasion. In a dark room, the limited-edition Panton Glow (left) glows an ethereal blue. To achieve the effect, Glow is hand-painted with five layers of phosphorescent varnish and sealed with a high-gloss protective coating.
