NeoCon 2015 Product Preview: Seating

Lean lines are the name of the game with Felix, a range of ver-satile seating by LPasteris Design’s Lee Pasteris. The tubular steel legs of the armchair, the side chair, and the stool, in counter or bar height, are available in polished chrome or six powder coats.

Classic mortise-and-tenon joints create the confident profile of Charlie Zagaroli’s Hayden Chairs for Studio Q Furniture, as they pay homage to mid-century style.

Martin Bergmann, Harald Gründl, and Gernot Bohmann’s seating, tables, and partition are super-mobile. Shown: Wheels for Keilhauer.

Orla by Jasper Morrison for Cappellini. On this sofa's skinny frame, generously scaled cushions keep the comfort quotient high.

Studio Massaud’s Steeve sofa, armchair, and bench for Arper offer manifold versions and configurations.

Arco chairs in painted beech by Aceray.

Beat ottomans in beech and wool-nylon by Andreu World.

Making the office a home away from home for employees constantly on-the-go is what Interior Design Hall of Fame member Patricia Urquiola had in mind when she conceived Poppy for Haworth. Softly upholstered shapes reveal the chair’s residential roots, and the backrest can put the sitter into reposeful recline.

Noé Duchaufour Lawrance waxes nostalgic about his youth in southern France, where he spent afternoons skipping stones across streams. Today, for a U.S. company, he’s conjured larger versions of those stones as Colours, a seating system for Bernhardt Design.

Tre benches in oak and polyurethane by Davis Furniture.

With Konstantin Grcic’s chair for Vitra, the name says it all. You really can’t take your eyes off Allstar, thanks to the ingenious wraparound polyamide frame and armrests and the snappy color options

Japan’s Naoto Fukasawa has contributed to Viccarbe the Common family, various shapes and sizes of modular benches that can stand alone or multiply.

Interior Design Hall of Fame member John Pawson has channeled medieval minimalism with his Trestle tables and benches for Viccarbe. All are constructed of solid oak, the chunky legs supporting slim tops.
