Re:Source 2020 Sarasota Brings Together Designers and Manufacturers

Interior Design brought together 88 manufacturers and designers at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota earlier this week for the first Re:Source gathering of 2020. Attendees participated in three days of seminars, break-out sessions, and one-on-one-meetings while also finding time to soak in some Florida sunshine during hosted events at the resort and visits to local sights.

Designed to connect designers and manufacturers, Re:Source allows designers to discover the latest offerings on the market and enables manufacturers to expand their client base through in-person meetings. Throughout the multi-day retreat, which is held twice a year, more than 1,000 of these types of meetings took place.

The event kicked off on Sunday, January 26, with a welcome reception in the Ritz-Carlton’s Healing Garden overlooking Sarasota Bay. Monday’s agenda was a mix of networking—an opening session with a presentation by Dr. Christopher Wilson, Architecture & Design Historian at Ringling College of Art and Design, followed by targeted meetings between the 24 manufacturers and 49 designers in the Grand Ballroom—and activities designed to showcase this lovely Gulf Coast city. Attendees had the option to hop a trolley to tour the Ringling Estate (the family mansion and the John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art), take a bridge walk, or stretch out during an afternoon yoga session. The day finished up with cocktails on the resort’s Sunset Terrace and dinner at waterfront Ridley’s Porch.

Tuesday’s schedule was packed with more targeted meetings in the Grand Ballroom, culminating in the closing dinner at Sage, a restaurant set in a landmarked historic building in downtown Sarasota.

A very special thank you to our Re:Source sponsors who made this event possible:
