|PROJECT NAME||Herno U.S Flagship, SoHo|
|SQ. FT.||1,350 SQF|
Italian fashion brand Herno began making waterproof cotton raincoats to protect against the elements almost 70 years ago. Today, they’ve brought those elements—and full collections of outerwear—to a 1,350-square-foot shop in SoHo, thanks to long-time collaborators Archibaldi. An oversized beech bookcase encloses the rear chamber’s fireplace; a living wall offers a bucolic touch, as do flannel-covered slate walls and oversized tufted armchairs. In the entry, a fountain fills the air with the sound of bubbling water. And in the air, each season's collections hang suspended via leather straps and stainless-steel hooks resembling mountain climbing carabiners.
