Practice What They Preach: STGM’s Quebec HQ is Super Green

Sustaining the environment is always a paramount objective when STGM Architectes is designing projects for clients. So that goes double when the firm is building its own 60-employee headquarters in Quebec City. The result is a two-story, 10,700-square-foot workplace that’s not only certified LEED Platinum—thanks to recycled materials, a solar wall, and a 60 percent reduction in energy consumption—but also outfitted with stylish lighting by Interior Design Hall of Fame member Paola Navone in addition to edgy graphics. There’s an electric-car charging station on-site, and two showers encourage staffers to bicycle to work during summer.
