This week on DesignTV by SANDOW, Interior Design Editor in Chief Cindy Allen hosted three different segments with one underlying theme: Home improvement, an apt topic given the amount of time we're spending at home these days.
Monday's At Home segment featured Hall of Fame member Calvin Tsao of Tsao & McKown and his beautiful countryside studio—a compact, brick cottage renovated by the designer and surrounded by 85 acres of land. Nestled in the heart of New York's Hudson Valley, Tsao treated Allen, and viewers, to a tour of the property. Inspired by the tenets of "preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse," Tsao and his partner Zack McKown certainly got their hands dirty on this decades-long project with stunning results.

To keep a pulse on current and upcoming industry trends, Delta Faucet launched its Delta Difference Makers program last year at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. On Wednesday's episode of DesignTV by SANDOW, Allen reunited with Difference Makers designers and experts Eche Martinez, Leyla Jaworski, and Avissa Mojtahedi to discuss product favorites, such as Delta's hand-showers. Jaworksi admits she installs the hand-showers into nearly every bathroom to give users more flexibility.

Allen's "NKBA Queen," Suzie Williford, is back for another installment of NKBA: Live, the segment that brings together industry leaders in kitchen and bath design to discuss frequently pondered questions that have arisen from the pandemic. This episode's main discussion centered around how to recreate not only industry events, such as trade shows and art showcases, but how to capture the social spirit, too. Joining the two women, designers Jeanne K Chung, Daniel Germani, Lakesha Rose, and Richard Anuszkiewicz shared insights on the topic.
