They’re often used inside, on floors and walls, but Laminam ceramic slabs also work as exterior cladding. Take this former distillery in Cagliari, Italy, transformed by local architecture firm Studio Fadda into a mixed-use complex now dressed in Bianco Assoluto from the manufacturer’s Collection series. The slabs boast properties that work in all elements: They are resistant to heat (both fire and sunlight), mold, staining, and abrasion. Collection is the company’s longest-running series and comes in over a dozen go-with-anything natural hues, including gray Perla and black Nero Assoluto.
