Vines grow on the roof and they help to conceal the generator powering the refrigerators inside the Tyme Capsule parked in Times Square until November. This vegetable-focused, sustainably minded fast-food concept was launched by alums of Fat Radish and Burger King, who turned to the master innovators at Situ Studio to bring the kiosk to fruition. “We look for projects that redefine the user experience, whatever industry they’re in,” Situ partner Aleksey Lukyanov-Cherny says. The Western red cedar slats intentionally contrast with the synthetic surroundings, and the whole 75-square-foot structure fits on a flatbed truck to take up residence at another site, outdoors or in.
