  • Walk-Through: The Vesper Project
    Artist Titus Kaphar takes Interior Design inside his newest exhibition and largest work to date, "The Vesper Project." Installed at Friedman Benda gallery in New York, the project documents a fictional family tragedy, capturing a psychological meltdown via Kaphar's paintings, sculptures, furniture and three reconstructed rooms salvaged from a 1870s house near the artist's studio in Connecticut.

  • Walk-through: Huys with Piet Boon

    Piet Boon introduces Interior Design to the model apartment for Huys, a historic loft building at 404 Park Avenue South in New York that is being converted into luxury condos by a team of Dutch talents, including landscape architect Piet Oudolf, developers Kroonenberg Groep, and construction firm Sciame. Huys will be one of Boon's first U.S. residential buildings when the 58 units begin to open in June 2013.

    Interior Design skypes with Dutch Design Week

     

    Dutch Design Week has been taking over Eindhoven, The Netherlands, each October for 11 years. But 2012′s edition was the first time a live video feed program reached an even larger international audience of designers, manufacturers, and architects. Interior Design worked with the fair's organizers to stream the DDW /LIVE show on InteriorDesign.net. As part of the six-hour program, we interviewed a panel of young Dutch designers including Danielle van Lunteren, Frederik Roijé, Alissa van Asseldonk, and Mickael Boulay.

  • Le Corbusier's Cabanon in Process

    Sixty years ago, Le Corbusier constructed a tiny log cabin on a perch high above the Mediterranean to serve as his summer getaway. Now, the interior of that structure, the Cabanon, has been reproduced and is on view for the first time in the US in a Miami showroom from Dec. 6, 2012 to Jan. 12, 2013.
