Originally built in the 1950’s, the 91,000-square-foot performing arts center was due for a coat of 21st-century élan. But by echoing the evolution of modernism into postmodernism, Esrawe Studio, with an assist from film and television designer Antonio Muñohierro, reinvented the six-level complex to become, ironically enough, a tribute to that very era. +back to all winners+back to main article
