With the Ola Windsor, the spindled Colonial classic undergoes a minimalist makeover. It may surprise, though, that Alf Sture, the late Norwegian furniture-design giant, introduced the chair in 1975. Now offered in neon colors, Ola is still manufactured by Tonning, whose four-decade-long collaboration with Sture produced a jaw-dropping 120 models. The firm's Stryn factory, tucked amid glaciers and mountains on Norway's west coast, quietly carries on its 66-year tradition of handcrafted high quality-albeit with the latest of equipment. Like its namesake, this solid-oak Windsor is built to last. We'll take one each in Peacock Blue, Nettle Green, Mandarin Orange, and Red-Pink Pion. The chair is also available in three other bold hues. 47-57-87-26-60; tonning.no.
