  • Pallucco - Chords

Taking cues from origami, Teruhiro Yanagihara's Chords pendant lights use folds to transform aluminum circles into complex shapes. Available in a white, light gray, or black-gloss finish, the 23 ½- and 31 1/3 -inch versions use a 250-watt halogen bulb; the 17-inch version uses a 60-watt halogen. Through Lepere, 212-488-7000; lepereinc.com.

  • Création Baumann - Elwood

Sturdy and solid timbers find their soft side in Elwood. The drapery panels incorporate laminated-wood platelets-just a millimeter thin-which are hand-applied to a paperlike polyester background, creating two layers that move independently. Measuring 59 inches wide, the panels are available in white with wengé-finished wood and silver with walnut-tone wood. 212-906-0106; creationbaumann.com.

  • Hudson Furniture - Aluminum chair

Armed with armadillo pumps and filigree headdresses, the late Alexander McQueen regularly did battle with the familiar. Now under the creative aegis of protégé Sarah Burton, his label keeps challenging preconceptions-in this case about the supposed chasm between fashion and furnishings.
Planning the New York launch of the spring-summer collection, McQueen staffers contacted Hudson Furniture. Their idea: simultaneous installations in McQueen's 2,000-square-foot boutique and Hudson's 8,000-square-foot showroom right above. In both spaces, couture would intermingle with limited-edition furniture and lighting designed specifi cally for the event by Hudson founding principal Barlas Baylar. His answer: Absolutely. Mannequins strategically stood or sat near pieces such as the Lipstick console and side table, constructed by stacking layers of wood, metal, and acrylic. In the elephantine Tusk chandelier, polished stainless steel replaces ivory. The very goth Black armoire, lacquered in that color, opens with pulls that look like two halves of a giant brooch in a bronze-copper alloy. And a black-lacquered high-backed chair owes its sinuous form to the stingray, a pet McQueen motif. 212-645-7800; hudsonfurnitureinc.com.

  • Antolini Luigi & C. - Geisha

Stretching the boundaries of stone might seem impossible, but Domenico de Palo does so-at least stylistically-with Natura. The four-part line of wall treatments is rendered in marble and granite, creating highly graphic designs such as Geisha, which replicates a good-time girl's visage ad infinitum. Damask-like Verano, lacy Spizzo, and floral Avata round out the offerings. 39-45-6836611; antolini.it.

  • Roca Sanitario - Armani/Roca

Streamlined, body-conscious, exquisitely tailored: These words, often used to describe Giorgio Armani's luxurious minimalist fashions, apply just as precisely to his kitchen and bath introductions. The Armani/Dada line, which the designer created for Molteni&C, includes Checkers and Bridge. The former, a modular kitchen system for large-scale spaces, alternates squares of glass and dark oak or Santos mahogany for a gridlike effect. Among its bells and whistles are invisibly integrated linear LEDs, a dining table in two sizes, and black granite countertops; cabinetry with pullout and sliding doors is offered in myriad finishes and customizable 3-D surface patterns. Similarly sleek, Bridge combines cooking functions into a freestanding island and pantry unit so that food-prep areas blend seamlessly into their surroundings. Moving on to the bath: The designer's Armani/Roca concept creates separate zones for wellness, beauty, bathing, and "basic needs." This is achieved via glass partitions with embedded mesh panels. The comprehensive line encompasses porcelain wall and floor coverings, chromatherapy-enhanced tubs with headrests, waterfall showerheads, wall-mounted sinks, and-as one might expect-flatteringly lit mirrors. Molteni&C, 39-362-3591; molteni.it. Roca Sanitario, 34-93-366-1200; roca.com.

  • Missoni Home - Girandole

Polychrome palettes and high-intensity patterns pack a punch in Girandole, a collection of fabrics, pillows, and rugs conceived by Rosita Missoni as an amalgam of nature and fantasy. Consider the difference in effect when Nabal, a solid knit in Trevira CS polyester, or Nacimiento, a multicolored stripe in polyester taffeta, covers the precise same cube ottoman. Nuh, a viscose velvet, can lend twotone iridescence to slouchy lounge chairs, paired with a pendant fixture's globe shade in Noja polyester. Or use two fabrics at once, for example Neda, meant to mimic the passion flower in full bloom, and Narboneta, a prismatic zigzag, on a single round ottoman. Narboneta coordinates with the chevrons of the chain-stitched Novaleno rug. Finally, a kaleidoscopic flower graces the Noceda cotton on the Patchwork pillow. 39-0331-950311; missonihome.com.

  • LebaTex - Observations

Stacy Garcia surveyed the world around her, and her Observations became upholstery fabric. Constructed primarily of polyester, rayon, acrylic, and cotton, the textiles are treated with Nano-Tex to repel stains and spills. 888-953-2283; lebatexinc.com.
