Sparked by a painting of her dog sitting on a vintage rug, the series swings seamlessly between impressionistic and geometric. The clay-coated wallpapers are digitally printed with ecofriendly latex inks, a new technique that allows printing on paper that typically resists inkjet, water-based pigments. Fabrics are constructed from a cotton-linen blend that's thicker than the manufacturer's regular offering, and the larger weaves make it especially fitting for upholstery and drapes. Dense layers of wool felt backed with a cork composite form 6-by-24-inch modules. The fuzzy face is fabricated in two thicknesses to achieve a random and tactile relief that captures both light and shadow.
