Dornbracht - Supernova
Sieger Design's Supernova line for Dornbracht has exploded onto the bathroom scene, with an impressive catalog of fittings and accessories for the usual essentials: shower, tub, sink, and bidet. When you take options such as cube handles or levers into account, there are 60 possible offerings, all available in polished chrome, platinum plate, or "champagne" gold plate. A sheet of water pours from the broad rectangular mouth of the waterfall tub filler, while widespread precipitation falls from the RainSky showerhead. Wall-mounted items include a hand shower and the SideRain horizontal body spray. Faucets come wall-mounted or deck-mounted. Towel bars, hooks, and soap dishes figure among the accoutrements, too. 800-774-1181; dornbracht.com. circle 449

Kohler - Jeton
Pleasing all the people all the time can be a tricky proposition. But for his first plumbing line, the Jeton series for Kohler Co.'s Kallista division, William Sofield strikes an effortless compromise between traditional and updated tastes—it's sleek without sneering. "I married hard with soft, straightforward with complex," the Interior Design Hall of Fame member says. "Strong, timeless geometry works in both modern and historic environments."
The vanity's solid maple cabinet goes cool in creamy lacquer or lavishly classical in highly figured Macassar ebony veneer. With either choice, the counter and side panels come in two types of softly honed marble: gray-veined white and white-veined black. The octagonal sink's faceted bowl gleams in light-colored vitreous china or dark marble. Solid brass faucets and handles are cut like precious gems for maximum reflectivity, then finished in chrome, nickel silver, brushed nickel, black nickel, or matte gold—like the elegantly elongated showerhead, the towel bar and ring, the sconce, and the toilet-paper holder with an arm that pivots straight up, safeguarding countless manicures. On the utilitarian side, the shower bodies are thermostatic and pressure-balancing, and an easy-clean hand shower resists mineral buildup. 888-452-5547; kallista.com. circle 450

Dada - Trim Mixer
Despite their rise to prominence in the great rooms of the 1990's, many kitchens remain aesthetically detached from the home. Determined to bridge this divide, Dante Bonuccelli devised the Trim modular system for Italian kitchen specialist Dada with furnishings-inspired details and multiple elements that afford numerous layouts.
The linear configuration pairs a yellow stratified glass countertop with stainless steel sink, stovetop, and exhaust hood. Back panels are clad in color-coordinated, acid-etched glass, while cabinet doors with slim anodized aluminum handles are covered in white Duropal laminate. A large wall unit conceals its acid-etched glass shelves with an electronically controlled roller blind, in oak or wenge, like a roll top desk.
Bonuccelli ultimately proves that no kitchen is an island by designing one. Intended to establish a visual dialogue between cooking and living spaces, the black quartzite-topped unit's kitchen-side doors are fronted with glossy white lacquer, while a sculpted, stainless steel exhaust hood hovers above. On the reverse, doors are finished in living room-friendly walnut, ready to be accompanied by the walnut-top dining table with anodized aluminum legs. 39-02-972-079-1; dadaweb.it. circle 697

Bodo Sperlein - Tea Service
Yauatcha, Alan Yau's London pastry shop and dim sum parlor, has something in common with his seven other international restaurants: distinctive tableware by Bodo Sperlein. Yau now leverages this relationship with Yauatcha Atelier, a brand of home-wares debuting during September's London Design Festival. First out of the fire: Sperlein's 14-piece tea service that pairs rounded forms with twiglike handles. A centuries-old German workshop produces the cup and saucer, mug, and three tea caddies in glazed and unglazed porcelain. The range also includes three more covered porcelain containers, a silver-plated tea infuser and strainers, a cast-iron teapot, and a warming stand. yauatcha-atelier.com. circle 448
