Portuguese designer Tó Martins repurposes the inside cylinders of discarded washing machines to make shades for his fanciful Rewashlamp floor lamps. Ramping up the whimsy quotient, he clads each cylinder in an unexpected material-from corks and Ping-Pong balls to salvaged measuring tapes-and mounts it on a heightadjustable camera tripod. The 12 limited-edition models, which come with an energy-saving bulb, are assembled by hand. 351-914-570-067; rewashlamp.com.
