Leucos - Summer
Celebrated ceramist Eva Zeisel left behind more than adoration when she died at 105. She left the light on. Her penchant for tackling new territory-well into her 90s-resulted in a final commission that was simultaneously a first, the Eva Zeisel Collection for Leucos.
As was often the case with her clay work, her glass lamps demonstrate an affection for pairs. "I like to create a family that relates to each other. These lights are cousins," she said.
Fluid anthropomorphic lines shape Spring. A long-and-lean volume, 19 inches high by 6 inches wide, it can be specified as a pendant fixture, a table lamp, or, upside down, a sconce. Consider the same three options for Spring's rounder and wider kin, Summer, at 12 inches high by 11 inches wide. Both are handblown Murano glass in glossy white or honey, trimmed in polished chrome in the case of the table lamp. And both accept incandescent or fluorescent sources. 800-832-3360; leucosusa.com.
