The Brooklyn-based ceramist is now a formidable presence on the international scene, with work sold in locales as far-flung as Paris, Hong Kong, and Mumbai. For her latest piece, the former fashion stylist and Bergdorf Goodman art director drew inspiration from the 19th-century botanical illustrations of German scientist Ernst Haeckel. The 17-inch-diameter Oculus has a subtle nautical feel and a glossy, pearlescent glaze.
