Now's your chance to put design-savvy kitchen and the bath projects in the limelight. The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is currently accepting entries, due October 20, to its 2009 NKBA Design Competition: Art of the Industry. Only open to members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, the competition is a nod to excellence in both form and function. Applicants do not need to be certified designers.

Designers will vie for over $100,000 in cash prizes in the 2009 program, which is expected to be the largest ever. The grand prize winner of the Pinnacle of Design Award will take home $25,000.

Two new categories debut this year: Best Sustainable Kitchen and Best Sustainable Bath. Additional categories include Best Overall Kitchen, Best Overall Bathroom/Powder Room, and Best Before & After. Entry forms are available on the K/BIS Web site.

Prizes will be awarded at the 2009 Kitchen/Bath Industry Shows & Conference (K/BIS), which will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, April 30-May 3, 2009.
