Non-Profit Launched to Repurpose Office Furniture

A 501 nonprofit with an interest in collecting discarded furnishings for a cause recently made its debut. Serving the architecture and design community and their clients, Asset Network for Education Worldwide (ANEW) takes donations including carpet, ceiling, doors, hardware, and all furniture, and issues the provider with a USGBC LEED Certificate and a tax receipt.

Donations benefit schools, non-profit organizations, communities, and public agencies in need--and reduce waste sent to landfill. Manufacturers including Bentley Prince Street, Gensler, Haworth, and Knoll have signed on to the organization's coalition committee.

Donators supply a floorplan and ANEW takes care of building logistics, certificate of insurance, manages the removal of goods, and even issues a press release detailing the donation, on demand. For more information, visit ANEW.
