Santiago Calatrava Symposium in New York

The event will run from 2pm-6pm.

This Friday, March 23, Columbia University will present the symposium and panel discussion Life and Poetry in Technological Structures: The Contribution of Santiago Calatrava, celebrating the work of the renowned Spanish architect.

Panelists include Raymond Daddazio, CEO of Weidlinger Associates; Liane Lefaivre, professor and chair of the Institute of Architectural History and Theory at the University of Applied Art in Vienna; Professor Michael Levin, lecturer of history of modern and contemporary art and architecture in the faculty of architecture and town planning, Technion; Nina Rappaport, architectural writer, editor and curator; and Richard Tomasetti, co-chairman of the Thornton-Tomasetti Group. Adjunct professor of civil engineering Alexander Tzonis, professor emeritus and former chair of architectural theory and design methods at the University of Technology of Delft, will serve as chair.

Organized by Columbia’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, the event will run from 2pm-6pm from Room 417B, Altschul Auditorium, School of International Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University.
