The call is out for designers with architectural lighting design projects or specialty lighting designs. Submissions for the 28th Annual Lumen Awards are due January 14. The awards are sponsored by The Illuminating Engineering Society of New York (IESNY), and recognize excellence, professionalism, ingenuity, and originality in lighting design.
Lighting projects that receive Lumen Awards or Citations of Merit from the IESNY become eligible for Regional and International Illumination Design Awards. Both IESNA members and non-members are eligible to nominate or enter a project for consideration.
The awards will be presented at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers in New York on Wednesday, June 14. The cocktail reception starts at 6pm.
Conceived in 1968, the Lumen Awards Program is intended to encourage and publicly recognize excellence in lighting design.
The award program, part of the International Illumination Design Awards Program of the IESNA, is sponsored by the New York Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society.
