ASID Announces Interiors '08 Keynote Lineup

The American Society of Interior Designers has announced three keynote speakers for its annual conference, Interiors '08, March 13-16 in New Orleans. This year the list includes educator, architect, environmentalist, and film producer Jean-Michel Cousteau; Rosemarie Rossetti, president of the Universal Urban Design Living Laboratory; and Academy Award-winner Bran Ferren.Cousteau is the owner of owner of Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort, which boasts a sustainable design. He will take the podium on Friday, March 14 to address eco friendly design and how it relates to daily lifestyle and the hospitality industry.
Rossetti, the mind behind the Universal Design Living Laboratory, a 3,500-square-foot, ranch-style residence offering universal access, will speak about health, safety, and public welfare. She draws from her own experience--an accident left her paralyzed from the waist down. Rossetti is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, from 9am-10:15am.
Ferren is the former president of Walt Disney Imagineering and the current co-chairman and chief creative officer of Applied Minds, an art, design, science, and technology company. Ferren's innovative work has earned him three scientific and engineering Academy Awards. He will speak Sunday, March 16, from 9am-10:15am.

Interiors '08 will be held at the New Orleans Marriott.
