Mexico's Riviera Maya is hot. And not just the weather. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has opened the doors to Rosewood Mayakobá, a spa and golf resort with 128 suites and 32 residences built and furnished by Casa & Jardín. Mean-while, Viceroy Hotels & Resorts—a division of the Kor Group, owned by designer Kelly Wearstler's husband—has enlisted Wearstler's namesake firm and Legorreta + Legorreta for Viceroy Mayakobá. It welcomes guests next spring with 164 villas, four restaurants, a beach club, and a spa.
