Barbara D'Arcy

Since joining the New York-based retailing chain Bloomingdale's in 1953, Barbara D'Arcy's responsibilities have included merchandise display furniture design and supervision of the model rooms that the store presents four times each year. In 1973, with the company on the verge of a major expansion program, D'Arcy was made responsible for store design.
