When most people think of the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) they think of driving up the Northern California Coast towards San Francisco. What can be forgotten is the Southern part of the California Coast: Malibu, Pacific Palisades and Santa Monica. In this southern section, the PCH acts as the “Main Street” for many residences, where owners have built their homes as a refuge from the hectic every day life and also embraced inspirational design with the coastline as their backyard. Come drive the Los Angeles portion of the PCH and visit the “other” California Coast in AIA Los Angeles’ Fall Home Tour.
This fall, AIA|LA has brought together three beautiful homes that not only define coastal living, but also define the needs of their home owners. Associate Director of AIA|LA, Carlo Caccavale, Hon. AIA|LA, states that, “The homes on this tour certainly reflect the aspirations and personal necessities of each of the homeowners - a family that collect art; a couple who love extremely contemporary, minimal and sculptural design; a world-traveller who spent years traveling the world in a yacht who built his home with the idea of still living on a boat.”
Don’t miss the opportunity to see these magnificent homes and to take the “Cal Coast Tour!”
