Over 80 designers gathered at New York’s Dream Downtown Hotel last night to participate in Banding People Together, a CEU-accredited musical activity that teaches collaboration. Hosted by flooring manufacturer Bentley Mills with Antron, the evening commenced with the designers learning about different personality types and how to enhance productivity in collaborative environments—skills crucial to a successful design practice. The designers were then divided into three groups, where they each formed a band and collaborated to write a song. Each group then put their collaborative skills to the test by performing their song for the crowd. View the slideshow for highlights from the evening.
