25th Annual Hall of FameDate: December 2, 2009 Location: Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York Join hosts Cindy Allen, editor in chief, and Mark Strauss, publisher/vice president, for a celebration honoring achievement in design as Interior Design magazine awards the 25th annual Hall of Fame inductees. The Hall of Fame is the highest honor of the interior design profession, and was established to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and prominence of the design field. Hall of Fame members include such design legends as Mario Buatta, Clodagh, Thierry Despont, Frank Gehry, Albert Hadley, Andree Putman, Philippe Starck and John Pawson. The Hall of Fame is self-perpetuating—that is, the membership itself chooses the annual group of new inductees. An award ceremony and black-tie dinner will commence at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. Tickets are $600 and proceeds from the night festivities go to benefit the Council for Interior Design Accreditation and The Alpha Workshops. |
