ASID-IL Hosts 2012 Celebration of Design Gala
When: September 14, 2012
Location: 159 E. Monroe Street Chicago, IL, United States of America
The American Society of Interior Designers – Illinois Chapter (ASID-IL) is pleased to host the 2012 Celebration of Design Gala on September 14 in Griffith Court at the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. The 2012 Design Excellence Awards will be presented to honorees that have excelled in the areas of Contract, Residential, Sustainable and Product design. In addition, four top awards will be presented for Best of Design in Contract, Residential and Product design and to the Best Emerging Professional. A cocktail reception and seated dinner are planned along with additional festivities that include two key initiatives championed by the ASID-Illinois Chapter. First, a raffle will be held to benefit the grassroots interior design advocacy of the Illinois Interior Design Coalition (IIDC). Secondly, two artworks by Japanese artist Tetsuya Noda will be recognized as new acquisitions made possible by a special grant provided by the chapter to the museum. The works will be shown during the cocktail portion of the evening. The evening aims to celebrate “the art of design” by honoring the ASID-IL membership for professional excellence and supporting the industry’s continued success.
