USGBC Releases Home Scoring Tool
It's common knowledge that the best way to start cutting back on resources is to first monitor and measure your usage. Now the USGBC has launched the latest tool to measure your home's "greenness," and measure it up against the LEED for Homes green building program. The web-based LEED for Homes Scoring Tool is free, and uses a Credit-By-Credit or Quick Score system to easily illustrate results. The Quick Score gives you an estimated certification level for your home, while the Credit-By-Credit report allows you to look at details like credit requirements and options to achieve different LEED levels. Vice President of USGBC Residential Market Development, Nate Kredich, says, "The LEED for Homes Scoring Tool will help fill in the gaps for home builders and home owners alike."
