Structures for Inclusion 10+1 this March

February 15, 2011

DesignCorps

On March 25-27 in Chicago, architectural nonprofit DesignCorps is hosting the 11th annual Structures for Inclusion conference, one of the few conferences I believe has real impact. The 3-day event will "bring together activists, designers, funders, and policy makers who are at the forefront of designing in the public's interest." In short, this is a conferences for architectural and design practitioners who don't just "give a damn," but who are walking the walk. Speakers this year include Andrew Freear of Rural Studio, Sergio Palleroni from BASIC initiative and Portland State, Tom Fisher, Dan Pitera, and many others who I consider to be my own architectural heroes. Full disclosure: I'm doing a short presentation on Saturday about our Studio H initiative. The Structures for Inclusion conference is also extremely accessible at just $25 to register. Check out the lineup and sign up via their website!

Excellent! It is great to see more and more organic designers infusing design and color! You might be interested in some of the others of us: modgreenpod.com, oliveiratextiles.com, daisyjanie.com, betzwhite.com just to name a few. Oh and my company (completely organic since 2005) Harmonyart.com
