For those of you who live in bike-friendly cities, here's a story that will make you appreciate your two-wheel commute: students and teachers from Guadalajara took matters into their own hands recently, painting bike lane lines and graphics on downtown streets in order to promote bicycle-riding in the city. The lane extends five kilometers and includes stop signs, symbols, and safety markers for bikers, pedestrians and cars. I love the grassroots chutzpah of this project.
