Make Your Own Bamboo Bike!

Bamboo Bike Studio, based in Brooklyn and San Francisco, is a big proponent of DIY transportation, believing "The best bike is the one that you build yourself." The group hosts workshops in which you can build your own bamboo bike with their instruction, or now you can simply buy a kit! The Bamboo Bike Kit , originally developed by bike repairers in Africa, includes all the materials and instructions you need to assemble and hop on your own bamboo bike. The process is not for the lazy, though, and it does require some mechanical know-how, but the instructions, animations, and PDF how-tos will make it completely doable.
