The latest initiative from online auction giant eBay is the eBay Instant Sale, an innovative program to help users dispose of their old electronics in the greenest way possible (and make a buck, too!).  program aimed at helping eBay users get rid of their old electronics in an environmentally responsible way, and make money in the process. The next time you're due for a cell phone upgrade, you can visit the Instant Sale, plug in your old gadget's specs, and receive an instant cash offer for your to-be-replaced phone, iPod, etc. If you accept the cash offer, eBay generates a free shipping label to send off your old gadget, and the cash shows up in your PayPal account about a week later. So, if you're a little short on cash this holiday season, why not rummage through your old drawer of electronics and send them off to be recycled (eBay sends gadgets to a recycling plant to be disassembled and reused), and enjoy the extra bucks.
