SmashCan Compacts Your Waste Efficiently

I remember the trash compactors from the olden days (like the 90's), which were a great idea but usually clunky, loud, and required superfluous electricity to do the compacting for you. The 2010 version is Smash Can, a modern-designed trash can that can cut your waste (by volume) in half by compacting it without the use of electricity. A recent IDEA Silver Award Winner, the Smash Can uses a special compacting lid and standard garbage bags to cut down on your trips to the curb and bags in the landfill.
