A Table and Rain Barrel in One!

As we head into the fall and winter seasons, it's a good time to think about harvesting rainwater in your garden. However, big cisterns and rainwater barrels can be a real eyesore next to your lovely bed of flora. But Simon Davies has a clever solution, designing a collection tank right into an outdoor table, disguising your rainwater collection in outdoor dining style. The water that lands on the table flows directly into the center, thanks to a slight slope, and into the tank located below. The table itself is made from recycled polymers, and as it fills up creates its own stabilization system to keep the table sturdy. The top of the table can also be detached from the bottom tank. A tap located in the tank makes water access and use simple (use it to water your plants!). I love things that do double-duty, especially when one or both of those duties is just good green sense.

We can do so much with our earthen products of life. Its only fitting that interior design become the next phase of environmentalism. JOHNHOUSHMAND also does their best in design elements that call on helping the environment by using reclaimed wood for the luxury market
