West Elm's New Eco-Friendly Pratt Line
July 29, 2010

Affordable home furnishings company West Elm has given us another reason to work from home (aside from the easy commute in pajamas and saving fuel): their Pratt Home Office line was co-designed by the company and recent graduates from Pratt Institute, and all pieces are made from responsible materials and processes. The design brief asked Prattsters to design an affordable, green, modern home office collection. The result is a chair, wall shelf, desk, file cabinet, LED lamp, and more, that uses FSC certified woods, non-toxic adhesives, and other green materials. The prices are on-the-money, from $99 for the shelf to $299 for the desk. Read more about the designers' process here.
