California Design Biennial Opens in Pasadena

Opening this past weekend and on view until the end of October, the 2010 California Design Biennial exhibition at the Pasadena Museum of California Art is titled "Action/Reaction." Designs were selected as creative and innovative to current events, from social and economic to environmental or local. Fashion, Transportation, Architecture, Graphic and Industrial Design will all be represented, with one curator having chosen the projects to be featured (sidenote: my organization, Project H Design, was chosen to include our Learning Landscape educational playground project!). While the exhibition doesn't carry an overt tone of sustainability, from what I have seen, it is clear that the projects were selected based on relevance and innovation rather than pure aesthetics. See all the details here, and be sure to check it out before October!
