Building Reuse Materials Association

December 24, 2008

I’ve heard from many designers that the desire to recycle building materials is there, but the resources to do so are not. Enter the Building Reuse Materials Association, whose centers all over the US, Canada, and UK exist to facilitate just this. BMRA member centers are third party companies who have partnerhsips with BMRA to collect and properly recycle/reuse building materials from drywall to interior surfaces and bricks.

Now you have no excuse for throwing out those 2 extra feet of carpet. Search their directory to find a location near you.

There are building materials which are still usable and the best way for it is to recycle for economy and minimize mess in the storage areas.
