Project M Pie Lab in Rural Alabama

July 14, 2009

If you’re looking to catalyze a community, bring people together, and give them pie. "Pie brings people together, conversation happens, ideas are created, and the result is change through creativity in design. All of this is structured around a place, a place called PieLab." Project M, the graphic design and communication "boot camp" for the greater good led by John Bielenberg, has conceived of the Pie Lab as a brick-and-morter node for community engagement in rural Hale County, Alabama. Through the act of simply bringing people together, Pie Lab is a design idea with a real stake in a community’s co-creation. Check out what the Pie Lab is up to here, or to learn more about Project M’s "blitzes" or other projects, visit their website.
