Following the success of Manhattan’s High Line, Brooklyn has their own park to boast about. Brooklyn Bridge Park has opened, including acres upon acres of playspace, ecosystems, and recreational activities. Pier 1, the first of many sections to open, ofers 6 new acres of park including 1,300 feet of promenade along the East River, and 2.5 acres of lawn with sweeping views of the New York harbor, the Manhattan skyline, and the Brooklyn Bridge. The Park will be expanded over the coming years to include more and more programs within the new urban oasis. Check out the website for details on location and schedule.
