North South Project: Wai Wai Weavers

These delicate yet dynamic woven lights were developed for the North South Project by the Wai Wai Weavers of Guyana, bridging craft and enterprise. The local material has been used for ages near the Essequibo River, and through North South, local craftspeople have been able to capitalize on the material’s full potential, as well as its ability to expand into a socially-sustainable enterprise.
