The Ecology Center, an Orange County, California-based community design center, is hosting a summer lecture series on basic needs: Food, Water, Shelter, and Clothing. Four speakers (full disclosure: I’m one of them) have been selected to speak about one of four basic needs, connecting urgent global issues with our own back yard. Michael Besançon (Food) of Whole Foods kicks it off on June 18th, followed by me, Emily Pilloton (Water) of Project H Design on July 9th, Matthew Miller (Shelter) of Appropriate Architecture on August 13th, and a panel of experts (Clothing) from Levi’s and more on August 27th. Check out the details through the Ecology Center’s website here.
