Grist says "Screw Earth Day!"

All-things-green-and-good website Grist is "celebrating" Earth Day this week with a "Screw Earth Day" campaign. Militant? A little. A totally valid perspective? Totally. In short, Grist thinks that every day should be Earth Day- that to call out only one day a year for heightened environmental sensitivity dilutes the overall value of sustainability and individual responsibility. Here’s what they have to say about it:
"Screw Earth Day was born from mixed emotions about a day that we purists think doesn’t do enough to get the message across about what individuals can and should be doing to protect the environment. While even the most jaded Grist staffer gets a little excited on Earth Day, as lots and lots of people gather together in communities around the world to do something good for our dearly loved Mother Nature, in the back of our heads we’re thinking, “It’s not about a single day, dude, it’s about living green every day.”

Im sorry, but you guys are idiots.
Earth day is the day we plant the seeds in our mind to take a turn for the better and greener life. Yes you expect everyone to know that we shouldn't be tearing our planet apart, but these days commonsense has been completely blinded. This holiday hopes to unfold the blinds and open the world to the light that will grow our future. Without earth day too many would never open their eyes to this light. Do you understand? Earth Day plants the seed to live more organic from there on.
