Regreen Interior Design Guidelines

July 24, 2008

Between all the acronyms related to green design (USGBC, LEED, FSC, etc), it can be a mouthful. Here’s a refreshing set of guidelines specific to Interior Design that was developed through a partnership between the American Society of Interior Designers and the US Green Building Council. Regreen (not an acronym), combines guidelines for best practices with educational resources for sustainable residential improvement projects.

The platform supports community commentary as well, along with providing a checklist for green products that designers can use easily and repeatedly. You can download the 12MB pdf directly from their website here.

Regreen is a great resource. "Green from the start" is a fantastic guiding light that initiates conversation about conservation which engages creative solutions.
