"Hello Haptic" Flashcard Kit for Visually Impaired Children

August 11, 2009

Sometimes design is poetry, and Korean designer Rhea Jeong’s "Hello Haptic" flashcard kit is a great example. The set of tactile cards is intended to help visually impaired children learn about textures that exist in naure, and inspire them to engage in more outdoor activities. Each kit is categorized by a natural local, like the zoo, the sea shore, and the forest (woodgrain card shown below). If only Rhea made a version for adults- they would make great material samples to engage clients and designers alike!
