Christian Rathbone Rugs

Christian Rathbone’s rug designs are modern, graphic, and bright. More importantly, the rugs are made using only the most environmentally- and socially-responsible practices (which is saying something, given the prevalence of unfair labor practices for some weavers and dyers). The rugs are all made by hand in Turkey without the use of chemicals, treatments, or synthetics. Those gorgeous colors come from a hand-dying process, using vegetable dyes only. Our favorites are Decline (above) and Thinker (below). The rugs range from $1100 to $5300 from Vivavi.

Mansour Rugs have a selection of fantastic rugs with'upcycled' materials from older rugs.There are patchwork flatweaves and woven textured area rugs.Check out the website if you are not near their LA or SF ahowrooms www.mansourmodern.com

These are gorgeous. Do you know anyone manufacturing in the states using similarly green processes and material input for area rugs?
