I think this is a great idea but have been disappointed so far. The materials content is not very comprehensive and the last material added was over a month ago. The blog section is kept up to date so maybe that should be their focus. As far as being the place to go for sustainable materials, I believe it has a way to go before they can claim that.

Can concrete tiles be considered a sustainable material? Does concrete give you LEED points? This tiles are manufactured using few energy if compared to ceramics and natural stone but I am not sure as it contains cement.

Hi Mark! There are a ton of free websites and magazines that can give you a heads up on sustainable materials. Check out www.sustainablefacility.com, www.greenerbuildings.com, www.greenbiz.com, EcoStructure Magazine, Environmental Design and Construction Magazine (ED+C Mag). Also, recently other publications such as National Floor Trends have been fopcusing and highlighting sustainable flooring.

i'm new to green materials and actually think it's quite nice - i used it to research different flooring options in our retail store renovations. it wasn't all comprehensive (performance specs!) but led me to manufacturers web sites for more info. so it works well as a portal. and it was free to use. what other similar sites are out there?
