IKEA's newly improved LACK series

April 13, 2010

IKEA’s LACK side table is a common go-to for dorm dwellers and apartment renters worldwide (plus, it’s affordably priced at just $7.99). IKEA, known for its affordable and stylish home furnishings, has recently taken their responsibility to the next level, improving details of the LACK line (and lots of other products) to reduce footprints and streamline prodution. The whole LACK series is now made from from strong and rigid wood-based frames filled with recycled, honeycombed paper instead of particleboard (which is much heavier and often uses toxic formaldehydes). Check out their entirely line here, and read about IKEA’s multi-pronged approach to social and environmentally responsibility (called their "Neverending List") here.
