9Thirty Theatre Company: Eco-Theatre in NYC

March 17, 2009

One of the country’s only "eco-theatres," New York’s 9Thirty Theatre Company has dubbed its 2008-2009 season "Nature Takes Its Course." Jeff Burroughs, its founding artistic director, describes the season, saying, "Mother Nature and human nature will contineu their course, but it’s time for us to sync them." This spring, in honor of Earth Day, 9Thirty will showcase "A Fresh Assortment," four plays that draw creative inspiration from three heavy global issues: climate change, overpopulation, and colony collapse disorder. If you’re getting spring fever for some green theatre, check out more on their websit here.
