Home Sweet Eco-Friendly Fabrics

April 20, 2010

There are eco-friendly textiles, and then there are handmade eco-friendly hand-cut printing block textiles with the most beautiful colorful graphics you’ve seen. That would be Home Sweet, a line of fabrics that are endearing, familiar, and applicable for a variety of interior applications: kitchenware, upholstery, and more. There’s a certain transition point when a house becomes a home. Founder Jennifer Nelson uses hand-cut printing blocks and water-based inks to personally adorn sustainable hemp, soy, and organic cotton textiles into amazing art creations. She draws inspiration from different eras- some are strictly modern, others more ornate. You can buy her fabric by the yard, or finished goods like pillows, lampshades, and more. Check out here full line here.
